MELBOURNE - Oct 19/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time Minor Flood Warning for the the Macintyre River at Boggabilla and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Murrumbidgee River at Wagga Wagga and Downstream. Moderate Flood Warning for the Warrego River at fords Bridge Bywash. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Barwon River at Mungindi. Final Flood Warning for the Murray River Upstream Of Lake Hume. Weather Situation A high pressure system will move over the southeast of the state on Wednesday and a trough is expected to develop over the northeastern inland bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms there. The air mass is likely to remain too dry for any significant rain totals. Another cold front is expected to move across the state during Friday and Saturday bringing isolated showers or patchy rain to most districts. Forecast for the rest of Wednesday Isolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges, mostly clearing in the afternoon. Isolated afternoon showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms on the northern ranges and northwest slopes. Patches of early fog elsewhere, then mostly sunny. Southeast to northeast winds. Forecast for Thursday Isolated showers and thunderstorms over central and northeastern parts. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds in the east, tending light and variable inland. Forecast for Friday Isolated showers and thunderstorms on the western slopes of the central and northern ranges. Cloud increasing in the far southwest, mostly sunny elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds. Forecast for Saturday Partly cloudy in the northwest and on the north coast. Isolated showers extending through the remainder from the southwest.
