MELBOURNE - Oct 18/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time Minor Flood Warning for the the Macintyre River at Boggabilla and Downstream. Final Minor Flood Warning for the Castlereagh River at Mendooran. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Murrumbidgee River at Gundagai and Downstream. Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Warrego River at fords Bridge Bywash. Minor Flood Warning for the Barwon River at Mungindi and Mogil Mogil. Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River Upstream Of Lake Hume. Weather Situation A cold front is moving along the central coast of New South Wales, bringing a southerly change and isolated showers. The change will extend to the far north coast during the day. Isolated showers should contract to the north coast and adjacent ranges in the afternoon. Behind the change a high pressure system will move over the southeast of the state on the Wednesday and a trough is expected to develop over the northeastern inland bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms there. The air mass is likely to remain too dry for any significant rain totals. Forecast for the rest of Tuesday Isolated showers about the south coast, clearing early. Isolated showers on the central coast and adjacent ranges contracting to the north during the afternoon. Chance of afternoon thunderstorms in the northeast corner. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southeast winds. Forecast for Wednesday Isolated showers in the northeast with the chance of thunderstorms on the western slopes of the northern ranges.. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds. Forecast for Thursday Isolated showers and thunderstorms over central and northeastern parts. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds in the east, tending light and variable inland. Forecast for Friday Isolated showers in the central and northeastern parts. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
