IDQ1070001 WARNING SUMMARY 1. Flood warnings are current for the Barcoo, Lower Condamine, Balonne, Macintyre, Dumaresq, Weir and Brisbane Rivers. 2. A strong wind warning is current for waters between Double Island Point and Point Danger, including Moreton Bay. 3. A strong wind warning is current for southeast Gulf of Carpentaria waters. STATE FORECAST for Saturday night and Sunday Isolated showers and afternoon thunderstorms about Cape York Peninsula. Fine and cold over the remainder. Possible morning frost about the Granite Belt on Sunday. Light to moderate mostly SE to NE winds over Cape York Peninsula. Fresh to strong SW to SE winds elsewhere, tending S to SE and easing slightly on Sunday. EXTENDED OUTLOOK Monday: A high will move over southeast Australia and maintain S to SE winds over the state, fresh in the north. Isolated showers and afternoon thunderstorms over Cape York Peninsula. Fine and cool conditions in the south. Tuesday: A high will remain over southeast Australia and maintain S to SE winds over the state, fresh in the north and strong north of Cooktown. Isolated showers and afternoon thunderstorms over Cape York Peninsula. Isolated showers developing about the exposed east coast and around the Gulf coast. Wednesday: A high will move into the Tasman Sea and maintain moderate SE winds along the east coast, lighter SE to E winds inland. Isolated showers and afternoon thunderstorms over Cape York Peninsula. Isolated showers about the east coast and adjacent inland. The outlook for Thursday, Friday and Saturday: The high will move east across the Tasman Sea with mostly moderate to fresh SE winds along the east coast. Isolated thunderstorms to continue about Cape York Peninsula. Isolated showers generally to remain about the east coast and adjacent inland, and around the Gulf coast. A developing upper cold pool in the south may increase showers in the southeast interior on Thursday, with possible thunderstorms about the southern border ranges on Friday.
