MELBOURNE - Oct 13/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For the rest of today and Friday: WARNING SUMMARY: Advice to Sheep Graziers for the Northeast Pastoral, Flinders, Mid North, Central, Murray and South East districts for today and Friday. Gale Warning for the Far West and West Coasts, South Central Coast west and south of Kangaroo Island, South East Coast and Gulf Waters over Spencer Gulf south of Cowell to Wallaroo. Strong Wind Warning for remaining Coastal Waters. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Areas of rain and isolated thunderstorms in the northwest, extending southeastwards today over the pastoral and Flinders districts and most of the northern agricultural area, contracting to the Northeast Pastoral by Friday then clearing by midday Friday. Local heavy falls possible. Scattered showers developing elsewhere this afternoon and evening, with isolated thunderstorms south of about Clare and possible small hail south of about Port Augusta. Mild to warm with moderate northerly winds ahead of cooler, fresh to strong and squally southwesterly winds, reaching gale force about southern coasts, extending from the west to be throughout early Friday morning.
