Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 13/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Forecast for the rest of WednesdayRain areas in the east, clearing overnight. Isolated thunderstorms over the north and east, contracting eastwards and clearing. Light southwest to southerly winds.
Forecast for ThursdayIsolated showers increasing in the west in the afternoon and tending to rain later. Isolated late thunderstorms in the northwest. Cool to mild with moderate northwesterly winds.
Forecast for FridayRain areas, heavy at times in the northeast, contracting eastwards during the day. Isolated thunderstorms spreading eastwards. Snow developing down to 500 metres. Cool to cold with strong and gusty south to southwesterly winds extending throughout.
Forecast for SaturdayScattered showers on and south of the divide and isolated showers over the northern plains. Snow down to 500m in the morning, contracting to the Alpine area by evening. Cool to cold with fresh southwesterly winds, strong at times about the coast.
Forecast for SundayIsolated showers, mainly in southern and mountain districts, scattered at times in exposed areas. Cool with fresh southwesterly winds, strong at times about the coast in the morning.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Thursday.* Calls to 1300 numbers cost around 27.5c incl.
