MELBOURNE - Sep 30/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Macintyre River at Boggabilla and Barwon River at Mungindi. Weather Situation A high pressure system over western New South Wales is slowly moving east bringing mostly clear skies. The high will move over the Tasman Sea tonight or early Friday extending a ridge to the north coast. During weekend an upper trough is expected to move through the state bringing isolated showers and possible thunderstorms, most likely about the central and southern tablelands, slopes and adjacent plains on Saturday, contracting further east on Sunday. Forecast for the rest of Thursday The chance of isolated showers on the far north coast, otherwise fine. East to southeast winds. Forecast for Friday Isolated showers on the far north coast. Becoming partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning fog and frost patches. Southeast to northeast winds. Forecast for Saturday Fine and mostly sunny in the far west. Isolated showers along the coast. Isolated showers over most of the remainder with possible thunderstorms about the central and southern ranges ranges and adjacent slopes and plains. East to northeast winds. Forecast for Sunday Isolated showers developing in the far south west. Isolated showers along the coast and adjacent Central and Southern Tablelands and Slopes, with possible thunderstorms about the central coast and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. East to northeast winds. Forecast for Monday Isolated showers extending northeastwards over western and southern parts ans isolated showers along the northern coast and adjacent ranges.
