Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 29/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time
Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Macintyre River at Boggabilla and Barwon River at Mungindi.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Point Danger and Cape Byron.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Yamba and Coffs Harbour.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Merimbula and Gabo Island.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over western New South Wales is slowly moving east bringing mostly clear skies. The high will move over the Tasman Sea tonight or early Friday extending a ridge to the north coast. During Saturday and Sunday an upper trough is expected to move through the state bringing isolated showers to most of the districts.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday
Isolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges. Morning frost over the ranges and fog patches. Mostly sunny over the remainder. South to southeast winds tending east to southeast in the north.
Forecast for Friday
Isolated showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning fog and frost patches. Southeast to northeast winds.
Forecast for Saturday
Partly cloudy in the far Southwest and on Northwest Slopes. Isolated showers elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.
Forecast for Sunday
Isolated showers, tending scattered in the northeast. East to northeast winds.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Thursday.
