Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 28/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time
Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Macintyre River at Boggabilla and Barwon River at Mungindi.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Point Danger and Port Hacking.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Montague Island and Gabo Island.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight is moving slowly eastwards with a ridge over NSW. The high is expected to move steadily east over the next couple of days to be centred over the central part of the NSW coast tomorrow night then over the eastern Tasman Sea late Friday. Apart from isolated showers along northern coastal parts, this will maintain generally fine conditions until the weekend when there isolated showers could eventuate over a widespread area under the influence of an upper trough.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the far northeast. The chance of a few isolated showers along the remainder of the coast. South to southwest winds.
Forecast for Thursday
Isolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges. Morning frost over the ranges and parts of the southern and central inland. Isolated fog patches. Mostly sunny over the remainder. Chiefly east to southeast winds over the inland. and South to southeast winds along the coast.
Forecast for Friday
Isolated showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning fog and frost patches. Southeast to northeast winds.
Forecast for Saturday
Partly cloudy with isolated showers possible along the coast and much of the inland. Southeast to northeast winds.
Forecast for Sunday
Partly cloudy with isolated showers, tending scattered in the northeast. East to northeast winds. Warm to very warm over the western inland.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Thursday.
