Isolated showers developing over the northern plains. Snow showers above 1200 metres, lowering to 900 metres later. Cool to cold with fresh west to southwesterly winds, stronger near the coast. Forecast for WednesdayMorning frost patches inland. Scattered showers on and south of the ranges, clearing from the west at night. Possible hail in the southeast and isolated thunderstorms near the Gippsland coast contracting eastwards and clearing later. Snow showers above 800 metres increasing to 1200 metres during the day. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds, stronger near the coast. Forecast for ThursdayWidespread morning frost inland. Isolated showers about the Gippsland coast clearing later. Light winds. Forecast for FridayFine. Sunny in the north.
