Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 19/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time
Final Minor Flood Warning for the Macquarie River at Warren.
Minor Flood Warning for the Bogan River at Dandaloo.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Merimbula and Gabo Island.

Weather Situation
A strong slow-moving high pressure system southwest of the Bight extends a ridge to northeastern New South Wales. A low pressure trough is expected to develop off the north coast during Monday and Tuesday and rain periods or showers are expected to extend across most of the northeast of New South Wales. By Wednesday the trough will move further offshore but showers are expected to continue over the northeast. Mostly fine weather is expected across the remainder of the state under the influence of the ridge of high pressure.
Forecast for the rest of Monday
Areas of rain in the northeast. Isolated showers over the central coast and adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost and fog patches. Southwest to southeast winds.
Forecast for Tuesday
Isolated showers in the northeast with rain areas on the far north coast and ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.
Forecast for Wednesday
Isolated showers in the northeast tending scattered on the north coast and ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.
Forecast for Thursday
Isolated showers in the northeast tending scatted on the far north coast and ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.
