Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 10/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers, more widespread in central and eastern districts, contracting to the coast tonight. Snowfalls above 1200 metres. Mostly cloudy with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds.
Forecast for SaturdayIsolated morning showers in the south, mainly near the coast. Isolated showers possible about the northeast ranges at first, falling as snow above 1400 metres. Cool with a light to moderate west to northwesterly wind.
Forecast for SundayEarly fog patches in the east then mostly fine although cloudy. Some rain possible in the northwest later. Cool to mild. Light to moderate northwesterly winds, fresh in the west later.
Forecast for MondayShowers and isolated thunderstorms spreading eastwards across the State and tending to rain about the ranges. Snowfalls developing firstly in Alpine regions, then lowering to below 800 metres over the southeast later. Fresh to strong northwesterly winds ahead of a colder squally southwesterly change moving rapidly eastwards.
Forecast for TuesdayShowers on and south of the ranges, falling as snow above 1000 metres at first then lifting to 1300 metres later. Fine over the north. Cool with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Saturday.* Calls to 1300 numbers cost around 27.5c incl.
