Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update
MELBOURNE - Sep 10/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Warning Summary at issue time Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for the Upper Macintyre and the Severn Rivers. Final Minor Flood Warning for Murrumbidgee River at Narrandera and Darlington Point. Minor Flood Warning for Rural Areas along the Murray River Downstream of Yarrawonga and Edward River at Deniliquin. Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River Upstream Of Lake Hume. Severe thunderstorm warning for the Hunter forecast districts Strong wind warning is current for Sydney Closed Waters. Gale warning for New South Wales waters between Crowdy Head and Ulladulla. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Point Danger and Wooli. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Coffs Harbour and Crowdy Head. Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Ulladulla and Gabo Island. Warning to sheep graziers for the Southern Tablelands and South West Slopes forecast districts. Weather Situation A high pressure ridge will develop over NSW on Saturday and move to the east of the state on Sunday. Another cold front is expected to move through the state during Monday and Tuesday bringing some rain, generally light, to most districts. Forecast for the rest of Friday Showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms over the central and southern coasts and adjacent inland, contracting east and clearing later. Fresh to strong westerly winds gradually easing. Forecast for Saturday Isolated light showers on western slopes of the far southern ranges clearing. Fine remainder. Southwest to southerly winds. Forecast for Sunday Cloud increasing from the west, with some patchy rain developing over the western inland during the afternoon or evening. West to northwest winds over the inland. East to northeast winds along the coast. Forecast for Monday Patchy rain through much of the state, tending to scattered showers about the southeastern inland, falling as snow on the Alps. West to northwest winds. Forecast for Tuesday Scattered showers and rain areas contracting eastwards. Snow on the Alps. West to northwest winds tending south to southeast in the south.
