Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 8/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time
Final Minor Flood Warning for the Macquarie River at Warren.

FOR MURRUMBIDGEE RIVER AT NARRANDERA AND DARLINGTON POINT.
Minor To Moderate Flood Warning for Rural Areas Along the Murray River Downstream Of Albury.
Minor Flood Warning for the Murray River upstream of Lake Hume.
Strong wind warning for New South Wales waters between Broken Bay and Gabo Island.

Weather Situation
A cold front preceded by rain band will move across western and southeastern New South Wales during Thursday and through the northeast during Friday. A high pressure ridge will develop behind the trough on Saturday and showers will contract to the western slopes of the southern ranges. Another cold front is expected to move through the state during Monday and Tuesday bringing some light rain to most districts.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday
Cloud increasing in the west and light rain developing. Southeast to northeast winds tending north to northwest in the west.
Forecast for Thursday
Rain areas in the west, extending throughout during the day and clearing from the far west. Possible thunderstorms in the west. Freshening north to northwest winds.
Forecast for Friday
Fine in the far west and on the south and central coasts. Rain in the northeast clearing. Isolated showers elsewhere tending scatted about the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow on the Alps. Fresh northwest winds turning cooler gusty in the west and south.
Forecast for Saturday
Isolated showers on western slopes of the ranges. Mostly sunny remainder. Westerly winds, fresh in the southeast.
Forecast for Sunday
Isolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwesterly winds.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Thursday.
