WASHINGTON - Aug 23/10 - SNS -- NASS is in the process of modifying report layouts in order to improve readability, judging from today's USDA update on the sector.

This report issue is published using both layouts but all future issues will only be produced with the new layout, which is available on the NASS website: http://www.nass.usda.gov. This is the last issue using this layout.

July Egg Production Up 1%

U.S. egg totalled 7.69 billion throughout July 2010, up 1% from last year.

Production included 6.58 billion table eggs, and 1.11 billion hatching eggs, of which 1.04 billion were broiler-type and 72 million were egg-type.
