Forecast for Wednesday evening
Areas of rain over the western inland, extending through central and
southern districts later in the day while clearing in the far
southwest. Isolated thunderstorms in the southwest. Snow developing
on the Alpine peaks later. Freshening north to northwest winds,
becoming strong and gusty in the south and west, possibly reaching
gale force over higher ground in the southeast.
Forecast for Thursday
Rain areas across the north. Isolated showers over the southern
inland and southern ranges, tending more widespread about the
southwestern slopes. Snow on the Alps, mainly about the peaks at
first. West to northwesterly winds, fresh to strong and gusty at
times about the ranges northeast.

Rain areas in the northeast, clearing. Isolated showers over the
ranges and western slopes contracting to the south. Isolated showers
developing over the southern inland. Showers falling as snow in the
south above 1100 metres. West to southwest winds, fresh to strong and
gusty at times about the ranges.
Forecast for Saturday
Isolated showers about the southern ranges and slopes, and over the
southern inland in the afternoon. Showers falling as snow about the
Alps. A mostly sunny day elsewhere. Light winds in the north tending
moderate west to southwesterly in the south, fresh about the ranges.
