inland on Friday and Saturday as another high pressure system drifts across from
the west.

extending through central and southern districts later in the day while clearing
in the far southwest. Isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms possible in
the far southwest. Snow developing on the Alpine peaks later. Freshening north
to northwest winds, becoming strong and gusty in the south and west, locally
reaching gale force later over the southern ranges.

southern ranges, tending more widespread about the southwestern slopes. Snow on
the Alps, mainly about the peaks at first. West to northwesterly winds, fresh to
strong and gusty at times about the ranges northeast.
