Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 16/10 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary at issue time:
Flood Warning for the Paroo, Lachlan and Macquarie Rivers. Gale
Warning for NSW coastal waters south of Port Hacking  and Strong Wind
Warning between Smoky Cape and Port Hacking

Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A cold front moving through southern New South Wales will bring
isolated showers to the southern inland tonight. A high pressure
ridge will develop over the state on Tuesday bringing a cold frosty
mornings to inland parts on Tuesday and stable weather conditions.
Another cold front is expected to move through western and southern
New South Wales on Wednesday, then the northeast on Thursday. This
front will be preceded by cloudy conditions and rain, and followed by
showers which will gradually become more isolated.
Forecast for Monday evening
Isolated showers over the southern inland and scattered showers on
the western slopes of the southern ranges. Mostly clear over the
remainder. Fresh to strong northwest to southwest winds.
Forecast for Tuesday
A cool morning with areas of morning frost and fog. Mostly sunny day.
Generally light winds.
Forecast for Wednesday
Areas of rain developing in far western parts of the state during the
morning, extending to central and southeastern inland parts during
the afternoon and evening while clearing in the far southwest. Snow
developing on the Alps. Freshening north to northwest winds, strong
along the coast and ranges.
Forecast for Thursday
Rain in the northeast. Showers over much of the remainder, although
clearing along southern parts of the coast and the western inland
during the day. Snow on the Alps. Northwesterly to southwesterly
winds, fresh at times.
Forecast for Friday
Isolated showers over the southern inland. Rain clearing in the
northeast.  West to southwest winds, gusty along the southern ranges.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 7:00 pm EST Monday
