Canada Sets Season Crush Record by June
OTTAWA - Jul 26/10 - SNS -- For the sixth consecutive month, Canadian crushers set a new monthly record in June, also setting a new record for the quantity of canola crushed in a single marketing year.
During June, they processing 451,129 metric tons (MT) of canola, up 4.3% on the month and 34.8% above year earlier levels, according to Statistics Canada.
Oil production totalled 189,016 MT while meal production amounted to 248,919 MT.
