Chickpea Markets Firm

VANCOUVER - Jul 24/10 - SNS -- International chickpea markets finished the week;s trading on a firmer note against improved buying interest fro the Indian subcontinent.

Market participants felt India's trade was unusually active on international chickpea markets during the past work, trying to buy good quantities of product from Canada, the United States and Argentina.

Normally, they would fulfill their small caliber Kabuli chickpea needs at this time of the year from new crop production in Turkey.
