French Pea Exports Improve in April

VANCOUVER - Jul 8/10 - SNS -- The pace of field pea exports from France maintained its recent uptrend in May, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).

Exports during the month totalled 25,695 metric tons (MT), up from the 17,155 MT shipped in April and up from the 13,745 MT of field peas exported the same month last year.

This lifted total shipments so far during the 2009-10 marketing year to 180,720 MT, down 19% from the 222,820 MT shipped the first eleven months of the previous marketing year.
