Pea Movement Faltered in June

VANCOUVER - Jul 3/10 - SNS -- The pace of bulk conventional loadings at Canadian ports became seasonally slower in June, with shipments down by almost half from May and down from year earlier levels, judging from port clearances reported by the Canadian Ports Clearance Association.

Clearances at terminals reporting to the association totalled 113,747 metric tons (MT) of field peas at Vancouver and none at Thunder Bay.

This compares to 164,918 MT at Vancouver and none at Thunder Bay during the same month last year.
