Poor Indian Demand Slows Myanmar Pulse DemandVANCOUVER - Jun 29/10 - SNS -- Pulse exports from Myanmar maintained their slow pace in May, reflecting a significant decline in buying interest from India, according to data assembled by the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. Shipments totalled 69,025 metric tons (MT) in May, down 7% from the same period last year. This lifted exports so far this calendar year to 449,723 MT, down 38% from the same five month period last year. This is the slowest pace for exports since 2006. Matpe accounted for 46% of the total exports, followed by Mung bean 39% and Toor Whole (Pigeon pea) 4%.
