Pea and Lentil Tenders Reach 8,410 MT

KANSAS CITY - Jun 24/10 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders for shipment during the 2009-10 marketing year now totals 134,830 MT, compared to 185,700 MT last year.

Purchases of green peas are down 17,870 MT at 15,850 MT versus 33,720 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is down 15,050 MT from last year's 44,580 MT.
