Buyers Return to Bean Market
VANCOUVER - Jun 18/10 - SNS -- Dry edible bean traders in many key trading areas reported an improvement in overall trading interest.
Some suspect their customers were only interested in preventing them from watching their teams play in the World Cup in hopes a diminished fan base will affect the outcome of games.
Even so, North American markets were mixed on the week, as reflected in a two point decline in the spot market index for U.S. origin beans to 1064 points. By contrast, the spot grower bid index was down one point at 1000.
