Seeding Delays Support Lentils

VANCOUVER - Jun 11/10 - SNS -- Lentil markets continued to firm during the past week against fears seeding this year' crop will not be finished and worries that crops are developing far behind their norms.

As the week got underway, it appeared that roughly 85% of this year's intended crop has been planted in Canada.

Seeding is normally complete by this time and growers are complaining about the effectiveness of chemical treatments on their fields instead of their inability to get into fields.
