Busy Week In Edible BeansVANCOUVER - Jun 11/10 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a relatively busy note, with activity reported for new crop product from Argentina and spot shipment from the United States. Some traders wryly suggested this week experienced a surge in demand as traders around the world cleared their work calendars so they could focus on this year's FIFA world cup matches in South Africa. Improving export demand was reflected in North American markets, where the spot market index for U.S. origin beans finished the week 10 points higher at 1066 points; while the spot grower bid index was up 2 points at 1001.
