Quiet Week in Chickpea Markets

VANCOUVER - Jun 5/10 - SNS -- International chickpea markets finished the week's trading little changed amid generally light trading interest.

Seeding of Canada's chickpea crop is being delayed by wet weather conditions, raising concerns about increased risk to the crop from adverse weather later in the growing season and during harvest.

As of May 31, chickpeas that have been planted in Saskatchewan were rated mainly good condition by the provincial agriculture department.
