Crop reporters in Michigan said dry edible bean seeding continued through the past week, while a week of above average termperatures actross the state helped with the development of already seeded crops.

"What a great week to be a farmer! The crops loved the heat; you could almost see and hear the corn grow," stated one reporter from central Michigan. A grower in northwest region reported, "It has been hot and dry. The corn looks good because we had hot weather to germinate it. Now we need an inch or two of rain."
