Good progress Seeding U.S. Bean CropsWASHINGTON - Jun 2/10 - SNS -- Seeding of this year's dry edible bean crops is progressing at a faster rate than last year in the United States, with more beans planted in Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota and Washington. Growers took advantage of good weather conditions in recent weeks to more rapidly plants this year's crops. Crop reporters in Michigan said dry edible bean seeding continued through the past week, while a week of above average termperatures actross the state helped with the development of already seeded crops. "What a great week to be a farmer! The crops loved the heat; you could almost see and hear the corn grow," stated one reporter from central Michigan.
