Monthly Canola Crush Record in April
OTTAWA - May 26/10 - SNS -- For the fourth consecutive month, Canadian crushers set a new monthly record in April, also lifting the quantity of canola processed between August and April to a record level.
During April, they processing 437,302 metric tons (MT) of canola, down 7% on the month but 23.9% above year earlier levels, according to Statistics Canada.
Oil production totalled 193,466 MT while meal production amounted to 242,373 MT.
