Seeding India's Kharif Crop Begins
VANCOUVER - May 21/10 - SNS -- Seeding of this year's summer or kharif season crop got underway during the past week in parts of India, according to the country's agriculture department.
Seeding of the winter or rabi season crop was only recently completed, though farmers have already been harvesting rabi season crops they planted during the closing quarter of 2009.
