Lentils Weaken in Light Trade

VANCOUVER - May 7/10 - SNS -- Lentil markets revealed a slightly easier undertone in light trade during the past week, with both end users and sellers doing their best to resist pressure from the other group.

During last week's annual CICILS conference in Brisbane, Australia, buyers on the Indian subcontinent relentlessly reminded delegates that their's is a price sensitive market.

At current values, they suggest demand is being rationed, with the burgeoning middle class able to afford to red and green lentil imports; while the larger lower class cannot.
