VANCOUVER - May 7/10 - SNS -- International edible bean markets are starting the transition into new crop now that seeding is underway in North America and Argentinas crops are developing.
The spot market index for U.S. origin beans finished the week 10 points lower at 1107 points; while the spot grower bid index was unchanged at 1007.
Even so, markets were little changed in light trading. Market participation was influenced by unusually volatile currency markets following Greeces acceptance of a bailout plan from European Union members and the World Bank.
