Few Changes in Field Peas
VANCOUVER - Apr 30/10 - SNS -- Field pea markets were unchanged to slightly easier against seasonally light trading interest.
Farmers in North America are too busy with spring seeding and field work to pursue markets, while the key consumers on the Indian subcontinent are looking for product from their rabi season harvests to bridge much of the gap to new crop.
Canadian farmers only intend to reduce field pea area 4% to 3.62 million acres.
