Quiet Tone in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Apr 23/10 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets maintained their generally quiet tone through the past week, with markets getting ready for Monday's seeding intentions estimates from Statistics Canada.
A modest increase in seeded area is expected. Though the fact the survey of grower intentions was done before general rains replenished soil moisture in much of Saskatchewan could have a negative influence on stated interest in the crop.
Canaryseed inventory is down from this time last year, something which should be reflected in the March 31 stocks in all positions estimates due for release May 10.
