Spot Beans Get Choppy
VANCOUVER - Apr 23/10 - SNS -- North America are posting a choppy, week to week performance as markets make the adjustment from a spot to new crop pricing basis.
Tight supplies on spot markets is forcing markets to make this change earlier than usual as buyers and processors switch their emphasis.
This saw the spot market index for U.S. origin beans finish down 14 points on the week at 1117 points; while the spot grower bid index was down 34 points at 1007.
