Bearish Pressure Builds in Mustard

VANCOUVER - Apr 17/10 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets have performed unusually well from a price perspective so far during the 2009-10 marketing year, but serious doubts are starting to emerge about how much longer values can be sustained.

Export movement in the August through February period is down almost 15,000 metric tons (MT) from the same seven-month period last season, mainly on account of a serious decline in European demand.

Shipments to that region total just 17,022 MT s far in 2009-10, down from 32,659 last season.
