USDA Buys 720 MT Green Peas
KANSAS CITY - Apr 7/10 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 720 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 030B, the USDA is buying the peas for delivery to Jacintoport no earlier than April 14, 2010 and no later than May 15, 2010. Palletization and shrink wrap required for truck delivery. Maximum moisture 13.5%. Crop year certificate required. The peas are being prepositioned for eventual shipment as food aid.
