Modest Decline in NA BeansVANCOUVER - Feb 20/10 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets were little changed in relatively light trading interest during the past week. North American markets posted modest decreases on the week, suggesting processors are in good shape to meet short term shipping requirements. This was reflected in a three point decline in the spot market index for U.S. origin beans to 1158 points at week's end; while the weighted average trading level for edible beans lost nine cents per 100 pounds (cwt) to finish the week at $38.63.
