India Stresses Pulses
NEW DELHI - Feb 16/10 - SNS -- The Indian government continues to stress the need to improve the availability of pulses and other field peas from local harvests as well as the need to expand consumption of pulses such as yellow peas, which are tpically the most economic pulse available on world markets.
At the same time, the country believes there needs to be a second green revolution in India to improve availability of locally grown foods. In a recent visit to France, Shri Subodh Kant Sahai, Minister for Food Processing Industries, said French companies can play a major role in revolutionising the Indian Food Sector. Shri Sahai proposed that French Food Laboratories can help in enhancing the food quality standards in India.
