Quiet Trading Week for BeansVANCOUVER - Feb 12/10 - SNS -- North American dry edible bean markets registered a mixed performance during the past week. Commenting on dry edible bean markets during the week, the USDA noted, "Market activity continues to be slow, with majority of the movement being either Government purchases or previous contracted orders. Availability of trucks to transport product has hampered movement, especially to the Southern ports for shipments to Haiti. "A two tied dealer values remain due to moisture and color with higher moisture beans selling at the lower end of the range and pre-rain beans moving at the upper side.
