French Pea Exports Down Sharply
VANCOUVER - Feb 9/10 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France are down sharply during the first half of that country's 2009-10 marketing campaign, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Total shipments during the six month period are down 30.8% at 98,305 metric tons (MT). Exports in December totalled 16,220 MT, up from the 11,230 MT shipped in November and 4.6% more than the 15,510 MT of field peas exported the same month last year.
