Pea and Lentil Tenders Reach 4,990 MT
KANSAS CITY - Feb 19/09 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders this season now totals 140,830 MT, compared to 127,760 MT last year.
Purchases of green peas are up 16,510 MT at 30,500 MT versus 13,990 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is down 12,390 MT from last year's 51,500 MT.
