Peas Mostly Firm in Light TradeVANCOUVER - Mar 14/08 - SNS -- Field pea markets in North America ended a week of relatively light trading interest on a mostly firm note. Canadian whole yellow peas were the exception, losing about U.S. $5 per metric ton on both spot and new crop markets as buyers become reluctant to follow values higher. Expectations of a solid increase in Canadian seeded area this year, perhaps to levels which challenge the market's ability to locate demand, also affected sentiment.
