Weekly Export Inspections Total 70,350 BushelsWASHINGTON - May 28/02 - STAT -- Exports inspections of major grains and oilseeds at U.S. ports totalled 70,350 bushels during the week ending May 23, according to data compiled by the USDA. This lifted season today export clearances to 3,387,229 bushels so far during the current marketing campaign, down 34,274 bushels from the 3,421,503 shipped during the same period last season. Last week's volume leader was corn with 43,160 bushels shipped, followed by wheat with 14,609 bushels cleared. This lifted season to date shipments for corn to 1,315,575 bushels, compared to 1,316,749 last season; while wheat clearances now total 954,853 bushels, versus 1,024,355 last year.
