Weekly Canadian Oilseed Crush Improves

The numbers, as reported to the association by member firms, lifted 11.6% from last week's level for canola, while rising 1% on the week for soybean.

The latest numbers continue the roller coaster ride for weekly crush numbers, with canola rising after posting a solid decline last week; while soybeans managed to advance for two consecutive weeks.

So far this marketing year, 1,923,371 MT of canola has been crushed, down from 2,537,855 for the same period last year. Soybean crush since the August 1 start of the 2001-02 marketing year totals 1,396,601 MT, up from the 1,378,252 MT crushed during the same period last year.
