Parkland Builds 250,000 MT Capacity Plant

NORTH BATTLEFORD - May 21/02 - SNS -- Parkland Pulse Grain Co. Ltd. is building a new 250,000 metric ton (MT) annual capacity specialty crop processing facility here.

Expected to be operational the middle of August, the plant has an initial storage capacity for 6,000 MT of product and a 60 railcar loading siding.

General manager Gilles Fransoo said the new plant compliments the company's overall business strategy. Parkland Pulses also operates two other facilities: a smaller seed cleaning and specialty crop processing facility; and a high capacity field pea, lentil and chickpea splitting plant.
