Weekly National Molasses Report

SPRINGFIELD - May 20/02 - SNS -- The USDA released its latest weekly national report covering the sugarcane molasses market in that country. The report covers both cane blackstrap and feed grade merchandise

National Molasses Report

Prices for sugarcane molasses were steady to 5.00 lower. Domestic supplies
were moderate to heavy. Demand was light. Large supplies of imported molasses,
abundant supplies of competitive feedstuffs and decreased feed demand from the
cattle industry pressured the domestic molasses market. Larger than expected
quantities of beet molasses available for feed usage also pressured the cane
molassses market in some areas.

Feed Molasses (minimum 79.5 brix, 43% sugars, except where noted) wholesale
