Weekly Export Inspections Total 52,986 BushelsWASHINGTON - May 20/02 - STAT -- Exports inspections of major grains and oilseeds at U.S. ports totalled 52,986 bushels during the week ending May 16, according to data compiled by the USDA. This lifted season today export clearances to 3,311,923 bushels so far during the current marketing campaign, down 49,632 bushels from the 3,361,555 shipped during the same period last season. Last week's volume leader was corn with 34,015 bushels shipped, followed by soybeans with 11,059 bushels cleared. This lifted season to date shipments for corn to 1,270,218 bushels, compared to 1,284,366 last season; while soybeans clearances now total 915,342 bushels, versus 872,907 last year.
