Weekly National Molasses Report

SPRINGFIELD - May 13/02 - SNS -- The USDA released its latest weekly national report covering the sugarcane molasses market in that country. The report covers both cane blackstrap and feed grade merchandise

National Molasses Report
Prices for sugarcane molasses were steady to 5.00 lower. Domestic supplies
were moderate to heavy. Demand was light. Large supplies of imported molasses
and abundant supplies of competitive feedstuffs pressured the domestic molasses
market. Cattle producers are grazing their cattle longer before sending them to
the feedlots due to lower cattle prices and this has led to decreased supplement
and feed usage.
