PANAMA - Sep 18/24 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of lentils during July posted massive declines, sinking versus the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total imports for the month reached 11,470 metric tons (MT), down 66% from the previous month's total of 33,473. So far imports have totalled 260,365 MT, down from 648,432 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Kazakhstan was the number one exporter, selling 4,466 MT. Canada was the second most important export origin shipping 2,642 MT, followed by Ukraine at 1,189 MT.
